South Bend had a bunch of Easter activities today and I was really looking forward to taking Lilly to the Egg Hunt. The weather was great (50 ish) and it was sunny. Perfect. Hahahaha- it was the worst egg hunt I have ever seen.
First, it was supposed to start at 4:30, so we got there at 4:20 thinking that it wouldn't be that crowded (I don't know what I was thinking really- it was as if every child in Indiana and our neighboring states was already there lined up and ready to run). Just as we were walking up to it (at 4:20), they started counting down from 5 to start the race (also- the "hunt" was just a bunch of plastic eggs laid out on the lawn of Tippecanoe Place, a large mansion/restaurant. I, for some odd reason, was imagining a huge open field with a few kids skipping and looking all over for eggs. I must be delusional since I'd been to Tippecanoe Place several times and there is no open field anywhere near it- it's in downtown South Bend). So, I picked up Lilly and ran, shoving strollers and slow walking toddlers out of my way, to where the egg hunt was and in a matter of seconds, all the eggs were gone. It was so sad. Lilly had no idea what was going on, which is good. A very nice family gave us two of their eggs. While Lilly was inhaling her Nestle chocolate eggs, I saw a child who was probably 12 years old run by and he had a basket full of about 10 eggs. I tripped him. Just kidding! Anyway, we will probably not go next year.

St. Patrick's Day
Lilly spent the morning with Grandma and Grandpa (while I had to work) and then Lilly, grandma (Pete's mom), and I went to Fiddler's Hearth for a St. Patrick's Day celebration. Lilly's favorite part was the Irish step dancing, which she tried to imitate.

We are looking for Blue's Clues...
Lilly is not a television watcher, but lately she has become obsessed with Blue's Clues (only the episodes with Steve, though, the other guy is kind of weird). I've tivo'd a bunch of episodes so she sometimes watches one after lunch. So, today, when she was drawing on her chalkboard (we have part of our wall in the playroom painted with chalkboard paint), she said, "A long line like this. A circle for a nose. There, a lighthouse." For those of you who have seen Blue's Clues, this sounds exactly like Steve when he's drawing in his notebook (except for the lighthouse having a nose??). Anyway, I found her drawing comments amusing.

February?
I just realized that we've taken all of 3 pictures for the entire month (completely slacking when compared with previous months). We didn't really do much worthy of photos this month, I guess. I'm most definitely not taking any pictures of potty training, which is what our focus has been the past few weeks. Here are some pictures from the past month:

Potty Training
Okay, this might be too much information, but I thought it was funny and those of you who have had (or have) 2 1/2 year olds will probably think it's funny too. Lilly is in the beginning stages of potty training and she's been sitting on the potty before or after (sometimes both times to put off bedtime) her bath at night. Tonight, she sat for about 4 seconds before her bath and then wanted to sit on the potty again after her bath. So, I thought this was just her smart procrastinating technique since she didn't want to go to bed. But, she said to me right after she sat down, "Here comes the pee!!!" It was so funny! She then did pee, so that was good!
Florida!!
Here are some pictures from our week in FL. It was, unfortunately, very chilly the first few days we were there (low of 29), and it started to warm up by the time we had to leave (of course!). Pete, Lilly, and I had a great time, anyway, spending time with Timothy, Tanya, Alexandra, Sophia, and Mabel, Erin, my mom, and Rory and Brigid. We went to Melbourne and stayed at our good friends' condo and we also went to Orlando and, thanks to Erin (we love you!!!), we were able to go to Disney World!
